Drone Hunter continues to be exported to many countries

Indonesia is included in the list of countries to export İlter Drone Detection and Blocking System, which draws attention with its spoofing function.

Bogazici Savunma Teknolojileri signs a new export contract at the Indo Defense Expo & Forum in 2022 held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Fatih Aslan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, told AA reporter that they have been working on the detection and blocking of unmanned aerial vehicles for about 5-6 years. Stating that the importance of unmanned aerial vehicles has increased and will continue to increase, Aslan emphasized that these vehicles have moved into a role-changing position rather than taking a role.

Aslan stated that they are working to prevent such critical systems from harming Türkiye and allied countries, and that they are configuring their systems to the developing and changing threats in the field to keep up with this era.

Reporting that they have been working with the Indonesian Ministry of National Defense for about 2 years, Aslan said:

“During this period, the delegations of the Indonesian Ministry of National Defense visited our country to examine our systems closely and conduct some test scenarios. Tests in Indonesia completed successfully. It is followed by putting our signatures so that we have signed this contract. In this context, we will deliver a package consisting of various versions of Ilter to the Indonesian Ministry of National Defense. Our contract period is 18 months. Within 18 months, we plan to consistently produce the products, bring them to the country and put them into use.”

Aslan reported that the number of countries where Ilter Drone Detection and Blocking System has been exported has increased to 10.

Blocks threats autonomously

Pointing out that İlter’s major function to operate autonomously, Aslan noted:

“Employment of staff, especially trained staff, may not always be possible. You train personnel in the field, but as a result of constant changes, it is difficult for both users and us to provide training again. In this context, we have exerted our energy to render the systems work more autonomously, and at this point, both our radar systems, vehicle sensors and optical sensors can operate fully automatically. We take care not to leave too much to human initiative. Ilter's working principle is based on this. We detect unmanned aerial vehicles that can be operated completely autonomously with the help of RF sensors, optics or radar; we interfere with them through different methods of interference (including spoofing and different blocking systems) in order to ensure that they can’t come close to the protected area.  Bogazici Savunma is a company that has gained substantial experience in this field. Our company has played a very active role in both domestic and international operations, and thankfully, it has successfully completed all the roles it has taken.”

Pointing out that Ilter Drone Detection and Blocking System is a product family, Fatih Aslan added that they have systems with ranges from 1 kilometer to 150 kilometers.
