New Ilter goes “drone hunting” with improved capabilities

The new model of the Ilter Drone Detection and Blocking System, which is among the few products in the world with its spoofing function, is included in the inventory for the first time.

Developing measures against the increasing drone threats in recent years, Bogazici Savunma Teknolojileri presents autonomous, smart, passive-operating and non-hazardous solutions with the product called “Ilter”.

Ilter, which has been used by the security forces for 3 years, has served wherever the Turkish Armed Forces set foot. Ilter has been exported to countries including Libya, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Indonesia and Iraq.

The works passively. When it detects any drone, it interferes by scrambling its frequencies. Ilter can detect all autonomous or remotely controlled drones with radar integration. Because of spoofing function, autonomously flying vehicles are prevented from reaching their target with a fake signal.

It won’t give way to threats

Fatih Aslan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bogazici Savunma Teknolojileri, told AA reporter that Ilter has been opereated in the field 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the last 3 years and that no settlements he has protected have been attacked so far.

Reporting that they are constantly improving Ilter to stand against changing threats, Aslan said that they made the first delivery of Ilter J250, which has emerged as a result of those efforts and gained new capabilities.

Stating that the Ilter J250 model has a stronger output power and provides much more functions to the user with its renewed technology, Aslan added that they provide protection to threats outside the standard ISM frequency bands in the new model.

It has now more weapons, its export is growing

Noting that they have completed the integration of radar and optics into İlter's new models, Aslan said, "We are also adding physical destruction methods to İlter's countermeasures. Their production has been completed and integration has started.  We will also be able to neutralize the detected drones using a laser gun and 40 millimeter ammunition.”

Stating that in addition to product development, export activities continue intensively, Fatih Aslan said “Lastly, we have concluded an export contract with Indonesia. Sudan has been closely interested in Ilter for some time. We have completed our negotiations and added a new country, Sudan, to export Ilter.”
